ADM Milling supports Great Ormond Street

Essex-based ADM Milling has launched a new partnership with London’s Great Ormond Street Hospital children’s charity.

ADM is aiming to raise £100,000 to fund an enclosed isolation recovery bay in the hospital’s new Post Anaesthetic Care Unit, due to open in 2017.

The partnership is already off to a fantastic start with a corporate donation of £50,000. In the coming months, employees from all over the business will rally colleagues towards a range of fundraising activities, from dragon boat races to bake sales.

Worthy cause

Tim Cook, managing director of ADM Milling (UK), said: “We are very proud to support such a worthy cause and we look forward to working closely with the Great Ormond Street Hospital charity to create a really special partnership.”

The Enclosed Isolation Recovery Bay in the hospital’s new Post Anaesthetic Care Unit will provide a comfortable and quiet space for children to recover from anaesthetics in their own time.

Each bay in the unit will be designed so that staff can keep a close eye on the patients, while also giving them the privacy they need to get better. There will also be a bed for a parent next to every patient bed, so that families can stay together, during what can be a very worrying time.
