High street coffee chain Costa has installed selfie zones as part of its Seriously Summer refurbishments at selected stores.

The three Costa Seriously Summer stores are in London, Leeds and Glasgow, and boast tropical décors featuring flamingos and parasols, to mark a new summer food and drink menu launch for the brand.

The new menu includes Costa’s new Super Day Smoothies and Rainbow Salad Wraps.

The three stores also have selfie zones, where customers can pose in a Miami-themed setting complete with sun loungers, fake grass and flamingos. If customers tag their selfie with #seriouslysummerselfie, they could be in with the chance of winning Seriously Summer in-store pieces.

For a stylish new look, all Costa Baristas this summer will wear t-shirts specially designed by entertainment fashion website Refinery 29 as part of an ongoing partnership.

Destination

Caroline Harris, UK and Ireland marketing director at Costa, said: “We hope the fresh look will encourage customers to see Costa as a seriously summer destination.”

The three Seriously Summer stores will keep their summery looks until 27 June.

Last month, Costa Coffee owner Whitbread reported that UK retail sales at the coffee chain were up 15.7% in the year ending 3 March.
