Bakery café chain Muffin Break has relaunched the Duffin, with two brand new flavours alongside the original hazelnut chocolate.

After a successful trial period in January, Muffin Break has brought back the muffin doughnut hybrid known as the Duffin.

The original Duffin was available in hazelnut chocolate flavour, but the relaunch sees the addition of berry jam and custard cream variants. All three were created in the company’s Muffin Lab, which creates new ideas to trial in stores.

Gemma Sandells, Muffin Break’s marketing manager, said: “Latest reports have shown a sales increase of 28% in the first four months since the Muffin Lab launched, compared to the same period last year. Our Muffin Lab will continue to provide more experimental creations throughout the year.”

The Duffin selection is available until 5 September and each unit retails at £2.30.
