Ginsters has redesigned its sandwich range with four new variants alongside a new image for its packaging available from 7 September.

The new flavours include: Chicken Fajita wrap, New York Deli, Brie, Bacon & Apricot Chutney and Ham Hock& Spiced Chutney – all priced at £2.99.

The Brie, Bacon & Apricot Chutney and Ham Hock & Spiced Chutney are limited editions to the range, while the New York Deli has been brought back as a permanent selection due to its popularity after originally launching in April 2015 for 12 weeks.

The refreshed packaging features colour-coding for consumers to identify fillings, Cornish landscapes to capitalise on its heritage and a larger pack window to showcase the product.

Mike Smith, head of brand marketing for Ginsters, said: “Sandwiches are by far the biggest product category within the food-to-go sector, which is currently worth £20.2 billion and has been in consistent growth since 2008.

“We are very excited about this relaunch as the consumer feedback has been absolutely fantastic. Our new range really showcases the fresh-tasting, quality ingredients associated with the Ginsters brand. Retailers should stock up now to take advantage of the additional sales.”

Earlier this month, Ginsters confirmed that it was operating as usual following a chimney fire at its Callington factory in Cornwall.
