UK snacking and baking brand Whitworths has launched its first superfood range of snacks, called Full of Super.

The range, being sold in selected Sainsbury’s stores from this week, features three new products, each in two flavours and containing plenty of vitamins and nutrients, according to the firm.

Flaxseed Crisps come in cayenne chilli or garlic & herb flavours and contain flax seeds, sunflower seeds, chia seeds and quinoa, among other ingredients.

Maca-roons are offered in vanilla or cacao flavours and contain almonds, coconutflakes, agave nectar and sunflower seeds.

Raw Bars are available in cacao or coconut flavours and contain coconut flakes, sunflower seeds, agave nectar, almonds, cashews, buckwheat, flax seeds, chia seeds, quinoa and acai.

All the products include B12 and Omega 3 and are aimed at consumers who are seeking healthier snack products. The RSP per product is £1.49.

Phil Gowland, head of marketing at Whitworths, said: “Consumers are no longer prepared to sacrifice taste for health when it comes to snacking. That is why our new Full of Super range offers healthy choices, without compromising on flavour.”
