Pastry brand Ginsters is to launch its festive range on 26 October. It will include two limited-edition sandwiches and a limited-edition pasty.

The Festive Edition Christmas Cracker is turkey breast, sausage, stuffing and bacon with cranberry chutney, and retails at £3.49.

The Festive Edition Cranberry, Wensleydale & Bacon is a combination of crumbled Wensleydale cheese, cranberry, seasoned mayonnaise and sweetcure smoke flavoured bacon on malted grain bread, retailing at £2.99.

Both sandwiches have been given new packaging that features a wintry Cornish landscape.

The popular Ginsters Festive Edition Turkey & Bacon Pasty is back this year, containing 100% British turkey and maple smoked cured bacon with cranberries, potato and onion in a creamy sauce, made with West Country double cream and wrapped in puff pastry – it retails at £1.99. The new packaging for this is designed to look like a present.

Jo Hartop, head of communications at Ginsters, said: “The festive limited editions are our most successful ranges, so retailers should take advantage by stocking the products to boost their winter sales.’’

A 10p donation will be made to the Royal Voluntary Service (RVS) from the sale of each of the festive limited-edition sandwiches and the pasty. This will go towards helping the RVS in its support for lonely and isolated older people.

The festive range will benefit from POS support and will be available from 26 October.

In September Ginsters redesigned its sandwich range with four new variants.
