Northamptonshire-based artisan bakery Most Marvellous Baking has won the savoury snacks category in the Good Choice! Quality Food Awards in London.

The multiseed crackers with cracked pepper and sea salt flakes pipped other competitors to the award, which was judged by a prestigious team of food experts.

The award was presented to Most Marvellous Baking owner Vicky Robertson by chef and Coeliac UK ambassador Phil Vickery.

The crackers, which were developed by Robertson and brought into the market in the summer, are gluten-free and suitable for vegans.

Robertson commented: “I am absolutely delighted to have won this award and very proud to be able to add the Q Mark to the product packaging.

“The crackers have been flying off the shelves since they launched earlier this year so I knew I had a great product – and for the Good Choice! Quality Food Awards judging panel to award them best in class is just terrific!”

The multiseed crackers are also finalists in the ‘New Local Product of the Year’ category of the Carlsberg UK Northamptonshire Food and Drinks Awards, with the winners being announced at an awards dinner on 3 November.
