New lemon meringue tarts from Brioche Pasquier

French bakery and patisserie producer Brioche Pasquier has introduced the Tarte Citron Meringueé to its range in two versions.

The Tartelettes Citron Meringuées contain tangy lemon filling in a crisp shortcrust pastry base, topped with a soft and sweet Italian meringue topping.

Each tartelette is 100g and arrives frozen in packs of five. There is also a larger tarte version which weighs in at 1kg and can be cut into 10 to 12 portions.

Brioche Pasquier said in a statement: “The butter rich base remains crisp even after defrosting, giving the perfect dessert every time.”

It added: “Any member of the kitchen team can assemble and present dessert orders ready for service. Serve as they are or give them added impact by adding a strawberry or twist of lemon zest.”

Last month Brioche Pasquier introduced a selection of four Continental-style desserts.
