FDF policy manager wins award for Brexit work

Food and Drink Federation (FDF) policy manager Dominic Goudie has been named Young Association Executive of the Year at the National Association Awards last week.

He was nominated by colleagues and FDF members for his coordination of the organisation's activity around the referendum on the UK's membership of the European Union.

Goudie said he was delighted to receive his award.

“It is great that FDF’s post-referendum efforts have been recognised and would not have been possible without the generous support of our members,” he added.

Winners in this category are rewarded for making a significant contribution to the development and growth of their business area within their association.

FDF director Ian Wright said he was pleased Goudie’s work had been recognised in this way.

“Dominic makes a considerable contribution to FDF and has an outstanding future,” he added. “His work on the implications of Brexit has given FDF a significant lead in industry thinking and has recorded wide appreciation from members and external stakeholders alike.”

At the beginning of this month, the FDF held an Exiting the EU event to debate the best way forward for food and drink companies.
