Pret A Manger is expanding its presence at London tube stations.

The chain already operates sites at Hammersmith and King’s Cross tube station, but will add two new tube station shops - Baker Street and South Kensington – from early next year.

The business is also refurbishing its Heathrow Airport site at Terminal 5, Pret PR manager Alice Clarke told British Baker.

“We will be putting in more counter space and tills to allow us to keep up with customer demand. It should be open in time for the Christmas travel period” she said.

The company has more than 350 Prets worldwide with shops in the UK, USA, Paris, Hong Kong and Shanghai and serves more than 300,000 customers every day.

Last month, Pret gave away some its latest festive releases for free as part of the run-up to the festive period.
