Paul UK raises over £15k for The Felix Project

Bakery chain Paul UK has announced that it has raised £15,013 for The Felix Project, which is part of the Sharing Our Daily Bread initiative.

The initiative, which launched on 12 December 2016 and closed on 15 January 2017, saw Paul’s 35-strong bakeries go the extra mile to help to feed those who are less fortunate during the winter by donating 50p for each loaf of bread sold.

Jean-Michel Orieux, CEO of Paul UK, said he was thrilled with the progress the company had made so far in working alongside the Felix Project.

“Not only are we able to provide our leftover bread, but we are baking a bread pudding, fresh on a daily basis, to further increase our contributions to those in need across London, he said.

“It was wonderful to see how many of our customers embraced the additional Christmas campaign, helping us to raise such a significant sum. There is more work to be done, however, and we will continue our commitment to explore new avenues in helping the charity continue such a worthwhile work. ”

The Felix Project distributes London’s surplus fresh food, which would otherwise go to waste, to feed the homeless, those living in poverty and families struggling to get by.

Paul currently donates unsold products to the charity on a daily basis, and wanted to expand this partnership by inviting customers to support the Sharing our Daily Bread campaign.
