Foodservice information service MCA – owned by British Baker publisher William Reed Business Media – is next month holding a Food to Go conference

Taking place at the Ham Yard Hotel in Soho, London, the conference will focus on the evolving food-to-go landscape, addressing questions such as:

  • What will the sector’s growth be in 2017?
  •  Who will be driving that growth?
  •  How is the market evolving?
  •  What are key trends influencing the market?
  •  What role is sustainability playing?
  •  How are leading operators looking to win the fight for talent?

Leading operators and specialists will give insight on growth plans, as well as operational, marketing and supply challenges, and opportunities that will define the sector’s future growth.

Leading eating-out operators from KFC, EAT and Itsu, will share the stage with retail experts from Marks & Spencer and Spar.

Convenience retail research firm Him! will host an panel session on the competitive landscape of food to go in convenience retailing.

Mark Wingett, editor of MCA,said the Food to Go conference would focus on one of the most dynamic and fast-moving sectors in the UK’s eating out industry.

“It encapsulates a broad church, with each section competing strongly to be front of consumers’ minds,” he said. “The full-day conference will look at the key trends and drivers for this increasingly important growth sector and is a day that anyone with an interest in this market should not miss.”

The following day will feature a Food to Go Study Tour, where representatives will have the chance to visit food-to-go operations in the city. It will also include operator talks and sampling.
