London-based craft bakery Honeyrose has rebranded and become totally organic and gluten-free.

Honeyrose has focused on gluten-free since 2009, according to MD and founder Lise Madsen: “We then acquired Kent & Fraser in 2015, our other dedicated gluten-free brand, which accelerated our expertise and focus in gluten-free, and expanded us into savoury too.”

The new range is “as indulgent possible” according to Madsen, with vegan and savoury lines, both incorporating superfoods. The brand’s vegan-friendly Kale & Spiced Nut Toast has just won a Silver Award at the 2017 Free From Awards.

Elsewhere, Honeyrose now also exports to 15 countries.

Madsen added: “We have lots of product development plans into further free-from categories, adding superfoods, using less and more natural sugars, and going further into snacks and impulse offerings.

“It feels like our old start-up days, working manic hours to keep up with demand for on-trend healthier snacks.”

The new organic and gluten-free range is available now in Ocado, selected wholesalers and retailers, and through the Honeyrose website.
