Frozen bakery specialist Taste Direct has unveiled a new frozen baking brand, Baking Agent, which will offer a range of frozen ready-to-bake cookies, muffins and scones.

Launched into the UK foodservice market, the brand was unveiled by Baking Agent founder Lisa Martin, who previously worked for Delice de France (now Coup De Pates) for 11 years.

Martin recognised that small independent cafés and hotels wanted to serve high-quality products, but often lacked the time or resource to make their own from scratch. She added that businesses needed to minimise waste, but personalise their offering.

“We are really excited to be launching Baking Agent – a very different approach to baking for the wholesale and foodservice sectors,” Martin said. “Our development team has worked really hard to deliver cookies, muffins and scones that taste every bit as good as homemade, but require little or no bakery training to prepare."

The products in the range are free from preservatives, artificial colours and can be stored in freezers for up to nine months. They also take only 12-18 minutes to bake.
