Deli Food sandwiches recalled over wrong use-by date

Deli Food (Scot) has recalled six varieties of sandwiches as they are labelled with the wrong use-by date.

Egg Mayo, Ham & Cheese, Ham & Cheese Savoury, Chicken Mayo, Cheese & Red Onion and Ham & Egg sandwiches were found to be incorrectly labelled with a use-by date of 23/07/17 rather than 23/06/2017.

Food Standards Scotland said consuming the sandwiches after their intended use-by date could pose a risk.

“If you have bought any of the products do not eat it beyond its correct Use By date of 23/06/17,” said Food Standards Scotland. “Instead, return it to the store from which it was bought for a full refund. No other Deli Food (Scot) Ltd products are known to be affected.”

Deli Foods apologised for any inconvenience this may have caused.
