Banbury-based decorations supplier Cake Angels has unveiled new branding that it claims will “blaze a new trail in home baking”.

The new “sassy” branding features a pink logo with the catchline ‘Heavenly Creations’, which the company hopes will appeal to the younger “insta-generation”.

Cake Angels said foodies are keen to showcase their baking and decorating, particularly across social media, and added it aimed to be the answer for bakers looking to try out the next big trend.

Claire Assis, NPD manager at Cake Angels explained the company was seeing huge developments in trends such as mirror glazing.

“Mirror glaze has been hot for a while now, but bakers are pushing the boundaries, marbling colours together, introducing greys and metallics for a sophisticated look,” said Assis. “Foliage, succulents and florals are also becoming hugely popular, with many practising their sugarcraft and piping skills or using real blooms.”

The relaunch will also include decorating NPD to inspire people to try something new and different and drive aspiring bakers to the home-baking aisles.

Cake Angels has also created ‘How To’ videos across its social media channels to showcase innovative products such as chocolate beer cake for Father’s day and festival-themed biscuits.
