Marks & Spencer (M&S) has launched a spelt bread range in partnership with spelt supplier Sharpham Park.

Hitting the shelves in 148 of the retailer’s in-store bakeries across the UK, the Sharpham Park for M&S range will consist of three loaves made from the supplier’s organic spelt.

They are a spelt, honey & pumpkin loaf (300g), a white sourdough bread with spelt & rye leaven (400g) and a spelt, fruit & nut baton (300g) all retailing at £2.70.

The range has been launched in time for British Food Fortnight, which runs from 23 September to 8 October. It’s a nationwide celebration of home-grown food and drink, established in 2002.

Sharpham Park, which produces a variety of spelt products such as flour, grain, cereals and muesli, was founded by Roger Saul. Saul is known as the ‘champion for British spelt’ but is also the founder of iconic fashion brand Mulberry.
