Canadian café and bakery business Tim Hortons is to open a second site at Cardiff’s Queens Arcade shopping centre.

The new site, which will be around 2,000 sq ft, will be located at 16 Working Street and will be the second site to open in the Welsh capital as part of the company’s nationwide roll-out plan.

The Canadian business will open further sites in Manchester and Belfast after making its UK debut in Glasgow in April 2017.

Tim Hortons will be offering a menu including its signature coffee and Timbits bite-sized doughnuts.

Addington Capital, an investor in the Queens Arcade shopping centre, said it believed Tim Hortons would be a boost to Cardiff.

“We are delighted Tim Hortons has again chosen Queens Arcade Shopping Centre for its coffee shop,” said an Addington Capital spokesperson.

The first Tim Hortons site will open on the 14 November 2017, according to the business, but no details have been revealed for the second site launch.
