Veganuary is drawing to a close but that doesn’t mean the flurry of meat- and dairy-free NPD to hit the market has slowed.

Pizza is certainly the vegan dish of the moment, with mainstream players getting in on the action. Retailers have also sought to expand their grab-and-go options for those following a vegan diet.

Earlier in the month, British Baker rounded up a selection of sweet and savoury baked treats, from doughnuts dripping in chocolate glaze to pies doused in gravy.

Here’s a few more of our favourites:

Wicked Kitchen BBQ Mushroom Sourdough Pizza

It doesn’t get more on trend than a vegan, BBQ pizza with a sourdough base (if only it had avocado on it). The pizza is part of Tesco’s new Wicked Kitchen vegan range which also comprises a Carrot Pastrami-Spiced Wrap, a Smashin’ Pumpkin Falafel Sandwich and Capanota Sourdough Pizza.

Waitrose Sweet Potato & Chipotle Sandwich

Alongside a raft of flexitarian NPD, including Pork & Lentil Sausages, Waitrose launched two vegan sandwiches. The Sweet Potato & Chipotle comes with a spiced ratatouille while the Mean Greens features crushed peas and edamame with cucumber, spinach and mint on a dark rye bread.

Four Hundred Rabbits Vegan Sourdough Pizza

Peanut butter on pizza? That’s what Four Hundred Rabbits has done. Available exclusively at its Crystal Palace and Nunhead sites in Veganuary, the pizza pairs Pip & Nut’s Crunchy Maple Peanut Butter with squash pesto, roasted beets, chickpeas, crispy onions and sultanas.

Pret Curried Chickpeas & Mango Chutney Sandwich

With its Veggie Pret franchise, this coffee shop has long been a friend to those following a meat and dairy free diet. Some of its latest innovation includes the Curried Chickpeas & Mango Chutney sandwich, complete with spinach leaves and fresh coriander.

Goodfella’s Vegan Pizza

Yet another vegan pizza makes our list, but unlike the others, this one is available in supermarkets. A first for Goodfella’s, this vegan pizza is topped with falafel, red peppers, spinach, white onion, harissa and a houmous drizzle.

Asda Onion Bhaji Wrap

Asda is going for cheap and cheerful with its vegan food-to-go NPD, which includes an Onion Bhaji Wrap and Falafel & Houmous Sandwich. Both cost £2.50, which Asda claims is among the cheapest grab and go vegan options on the market.
