Kara, the foodservice brand of Finsbury Food Group, has made four additions to its Indulgent Cake Collection.

The new products are:

  • Lemon & Raspberry Meringue round cake: Filled and topped with a layer of lemon buttercream and a raspberry jam, and finished with a lemon curd, meringue pieces and biscuit crumbs.
  • Strawberry & Raspberry Sensation round cake: A vanillasponge filled with a strawberry frosting and raspberry jam, all topped with a layer of strawberry frosting, hand-finished with freeze-dried strawberry and raspberry pieces with a sugar dusting.
  • Strawberry Shortcake Rocky Road slice: A yoghurt-based rocky road with mini marshmallows, biscuit and freeze-dried strawberry inclusions.
  • Pretzel Brownie: A moist brownie base topped with pretzel pieces and finished with a caramel drizzle.

 “The new spring cakes are simply delicious, perfect additions to our Indulgent Cake Collection, further demonstrating the innovation and exciting cakes that we are capable of producing,” said Kara Foodservice’s commercial director Chris Haddy.

“All cakes will be available to order from March and we can’t wait to see them in foodservice outlets.”

Kara added ‘autumnal-inspired’ products to its Indulgent Cake Collection in July 2017, featuring a Banana & Toffee Kiss, a Rose & Shimmer Cake and Dulce de Leche.
