Flower & White targets snacking with meringue bar

Shropshire-based Flower & White has launched a duo of Meringue Bars in raspberry and chocolate.
The raspberry variant has raspberry-flavoured meringue, coated in white chocolate with a raspberry crumble. The chocolate version is covered in dark chocolate with chocolate crumbs.
Both are under 100 calories and are naturally gluten-free, low-fat and suitable for vegetarians, according to Flower & White. They are made using free-range eggs, natural flavours and colours and Callebaut chocolate.
“This is an exciting and innovative new addition to our collection, and caters to a whole new sector,” said Leanne Crowther, Flower & White co-founder. “Our natural Meringue Bars meet the boom in demand for snacking products which are low in fat and calories and contain fewer ingredients with a clean label.”
Meringue Bars have an RSP of £1.29 for a 23.5g bar and are available online from 23 February and nationwide from 5 March.
The brand rolled out a raft of NPD last year, including the addition of Meringue Drops to its award-winning Merangz range, as well as festive Meringue Truffles.
