Finsbury Food Group has unveiled a duo of NPD flavoured with Baileys Irish Cream Liqueur.
The range comprises a celebration Baileys Freakshake Cake and a pack of 12 Baileys cupcakes.
Made up of 18 servings, the celebration cake features a chocolate sponge covered in Baileys flavoured frosting, topped with whipped cream and brownies as well as an edible straw, inspired by the freakshake trend seen in the UK over the past few years.
The cupcakes, meanwhile, are covered in Baileys buttercream-infused toppings, and have been designed for consumers who are looking for smaller cake options that can be easily shared.
“We’ve led the market for many years with our ability to blend together our passion and expertise in cake with some of the best-known brand names in the grocery sector,” said Jack Cook-Broussine, brand manager at Finsbury Food Group.
“Baileys is a fantastic new partner for us and gives an opportunity to show our capabilities for creating high-quality, innovative cakes to supermarkets across the country.”
The Baileys Freakshake cake (rsp £12) and Baileys cupcakes (rsp £8) are available nationwide at Asda.
