Café-bakery chain Muffin Break is to open a new store in Cramlington, Northumberland this week (1 November).

Located in the Manor Walks Shopping & Leisure centre, the store will have seating for over 80 customers. A selection of muffins, sandwiches, sweet treats and hot drinks will be available.

Muffin Break said the new opening will create 15 full and part-time jobs for the local community.

On its opening day the Cramlington store will be giving away golden tickets to the first 25 customers through the door, with prizes including free coffees, muffins and more.

Parents and children will be invited to meet the ‘Muffin Man’ mascot, who will be on hand to offer samples, hand out balloons to children and pose for photos.

The store marks the third opening for franchisee Bill Bentham, who has already opened Muffin Break’s Hill Street Shopping centre store in Middlesbrough and The Galleries Shopping centre store in Washington.

“It’s fantastic to be opening my third Muffin Break store here in Cramlington,” Bentham said. “We have been working hard to ensure we continue to offer a diverse menu filled with delicious treats made using the highest quality ingredients to ensure our customers enjoy the very best food. I hope the community of Cramlington are as excited about our new store as we are.”

Earlier this year Muffin Break expanded its bakery range with three new paninis, including a goat’s cheese & roasted red pepper one as well as a Wiltshire ham & mature Cheddar variant.
