Benugo’s Exhibition Road Café at the V&A has been styled to resemble a French patisserie in line with the Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams exhibition.

The menu for the patisserie has been designed by Benugo’s French head chef Olivier Dhainaut ‘to complement the opulence and elegance of Dior’, featuring many patisserie products with different textures and flavours to echo the dresses on display at the exhibition.

The menu comprises tarts and desserts, cakes and petits gâteaux, items include Tarte Normande (rsp £5.75), which celebrates Dior’s town of birth, as well as Pear, Bay Leaf & Hazelnut Tart (rsp £6.25), Lavender & Honey Financiers (rsp £1.50/3 for £4) and Macarons (rsp £1.25/3 for £3.50).

The Members’ Room menu has also been transformed for the occasion and reflects Dior’s love of England, with Yorkshire Moor Lamb and Gloucester Old Spot Pork Chops, as well as Dior’s favourite dessert, a decadent Rum Baba.

The exhibition, which will be at the V&A until 14 July, is a reimagined version of the Christian Dior: Couturier du Rêve exhibition organised by the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. It will showcase items from the Dior archives and highlight Dior’s vision of femininity, encompassing garments, accessories and fragrances.
