London-based all-natural bakery Cutter & Squidge has unveiled a series of cake decorating masterclasses, starting in May.

The classes will be held at Cutter & Squidge’s new Royal Exchange store. Each class will focus on a different cake from the bakery’s Dream Cake Collection, which includes a Double Choc Salted Caramel, Raspberry Ripple and Blueberry Lemon Cheesecake.

Participants will be taught how to use natural colourings, as well as how to decorate and construct a semi-naked layer cake using buttercream.

“Our approach to decorating is about breaking the rules, having the confidence to have fun and experiment with the ingredients to add some real personality. So after too many requests to count, we’re offering classes on decorating cakes in the distinctive Cutter & Squidge style,” said Annabel Lui, co-founder, Cutter & Squidge.

Confirmed dates for the classes so far are 11, 18 and 25 May, with further dates to be announced in the future. The classes cost £70 per person to attend.

Cake decorating classes are becoming increasingly popular. Earlier this year, Rosalind Miller launched a Master Diploma in Cake Baking and Decorating.
