Gloucester Services is to hold a two-day Meet the Buyer event for small and medium-sized artisan producers in the south west.

It will be held at the Southbound Gloucester Services and will take the form of drop-in sessions between 11:30am-5:30pm on 23 May and 9am-11am on 24 May, for which no appointment is required.

Producers are invited to bring products and meet a buyer for a face-to-face conversation, in which they will receive feedback from the team.

Gloucester Services currently works with more than 130 local producers, each located within 30 miles. It said it was looking to develop and extend its supplier base with new and innovative products including bakery, butchery, homewares and gifts.

“Fresh local and artisan produced products are at the heart of Gloucester Services, no franchises just our own farm shops and kitchens,” said Julie Mills, commercial director at Gloucester Services.

“We pride ourselves on selling and making proper food that reflects the regions in which we trade. We work tirelessly to find small, exceptional producers to take pride of place in our farm shops and kitchens, always starting locally.”
