Dorset-based bakery Honeybuns has introduced a vegan-friendly Peanut Butter & Jelly Brownie traybake to its portfolio.

The traybake, described by the company as a “fun take on an American diner classic”, features a gooey peanut brownie base, drizzled with molten morello cherry jam and smooth peanut butter and topped with split peanuts. The Peanut Butter & Jelly Brownie traybake comes in a 1kg format, supplied uncut, three per case, or pre-cut into 16s.

Once defrosted the ambient shelf life for the traybake is 16 days.

The gluten-free bakery said it could be enjoyed equally as a cake or as a dessert, “warmed through and served with free-from cream or ice cream”.

“With sales of free-from foods at an all-time high, Honeybuns’ growing range of plant-based, individually wrapped cake slices and traybakes are indulgent treats that just happen to be ‘free-from’,” said Emma Goss-Custard, company founder and owner.

Honeybuns, an independent family-run business, supplies coffee shops, foodservice and wholesalers throughout the UK.

Earlier this year, the company extended its vegan cake offering with three new variants, including Millionaire’s Slice, Dark Chocolate Brownie and Oaty Raspberry Bar.
