Confectionery manufacturer Lees of Scotland has added two flavours of mini meringue to its range.

The mini meringues have launched in caramel and raspberry flavours and are aimed at being a snack or dessert topping.

They are sold in tubs of 40 mini meringues, and each tub contains less than 100 calories in total, Lees said. They are also gluten-free and suitable for vegetarians.

“We aim to help customers create tasty desserts and snacks with minimal fuss. Our new mini meringues are the perfect addition to our range and can be eaten on their own as a light snack, added to a dessert or even used to top cakes,” said Sheevaun Thomas, new product development project manager at Lees of Scotland.

Lees of Scotland also produces a range of teacakes, snowballs and ‘macaringues’ – a macaron-style product made with a meringue shell.
