The Duchess of Sussex visited social enterprise business Luminary Bakery last week.

The visit follows The Duchess writing about Luminary Bakery in the September edition of Vogue, which she guest-edited.

She then wrote a handwritten note to the bakery, praising it for the work it does in helping women from disadvantaged backgrounds build a future for themselves.

Luminary Bakery said it had invited The Duchess early last week to visit its new bakery and training centre in Camden.

It added the team were “so pleased” to be able to give The Duchess an update on Luminary’s work and a tour of its new facilities. She also spent time with past and present graduates who shared their personal stories with her.

“It was a fantastic visit and a real boost to the women we support. A truly special day for the Luminary family,”it added.

Luminary Bakery is a social enterprise business, which uses baking as a tool to take women on a journey to employability and entrepreneurship, equipping them with transferrable skills for the working world.
