Brioche Pasquier has launched a range of eight chocolate petits fours.

Its Élégance and Chocolat collection comprises praline, hazelnuts, choux and croustillant pastry. The petits fours are made from fresh non-caged eggs and fresh butter, as well as natural colourants and flavourings. They are also vegetarian and free from palm oil and preservatives.

Replacing the Black and White range, the ‘contemporary selection’ of sweet canapés taps the café gourmand trend, making them suitable for afternoon tea, said the company.

“Our chocolate ranges have always been among our most popular petits fours. For all the chocolate fans, we decided to introduce a sophisticated new collection, which brings together some exciting flavour combinations,” said Matthew Grenter, foodservice sales manager at Brioche Pasquier UK.

“Each individual bite is rich with chocolate, combined with popular ingredients like praline and hazelnuts, and textures like choux and croustillant pastry. We think they are going to be crowd-pleasers.”

As catering outlets struggle with trading under coronavirus restrictions, it is worth offering special treats that can be delivered locally to isolated customers, it added.

The Élégance and Chocolat collection is available frozen in a box of 48.
