Supplier BakeMark UK has launched a new Learning Resource Centre, offering employees training courses in subjects ranging from IT and numeracy to literacy and modern languages.

The new Learning Centre has been set up in conjunction with USDAW to help develop students’ competencies in areas that will benefit their personal development as well as add value to the firm.

Marco Bertacca, vice-president, frozen and bakery products, CSM Bakery Supplies Europe said: "At a time when the baking industry is enjoying renewed growth, particularly in the healthy and speciality bread sectors, we want to create a world-leading organisation and investing in staff training and development is key to achieving this goal."

Kevin Murray, food manufacturer at BakeMark UK said: "I’ve just gained a qualification in literacy and I am already studying for the next level. I feel that BakeMark UK is taking an interest in helping and supporting my progression."
