Marks & Spencer has launched a new meal deal - a sandwich, drink and a snack for £2. This follows the recent introduction of a 75p jam sandwich last month. The jam sandwich is part of its new Simply range and consists of just white bread, strawberry jam and butter.

Beckleberry’s, of Blaydon on Tyne, Tyne & Wear, has gained new listings after its success at the Great Taste Awards last September. Harvey Nichols is stocking its patisserie and sorbet products, and this has led to listing with Selfridges and enquiries from Harrods and Whole Foods in London, as well as several independent stores nationwide.

Coca Cola Great Britain is adding a new flavour to its ’Relentless’ energy drink brand portfolio. ’Relentless’ Juiced Energy Berry contains 50% juice, including strawberry, raspberry and blackcurrant, and is available from March. It will be available in 12 x 500ml cases.

Dairygold Food Ingredients UK has boosted its organic offer by receiving its fourth certification from the Organic Food Federation, allowing it to use ’Organic Certification UK4’ on its packaging. In 2008, its sales of organic cheese grew 40%.
