Macphie (Glenbervie, Scotland) has launched premium Soft & Chewy Cookie Mix in four flavours, made with non-hydrogenated fat. The ‘add-water’ mixes are available in plain, chocolate, chocolate chunk and oat & raisin.

Ian Wolfenden, commercial director, bakery solutions, says the Soft & Chewy mixes offer greater economy than buying in frozen cookie pucks and that the mixes are simple to use. “Bakers can even make up a batch of pucks themselves, freeze them and bake-off as required.”

The plain and chocolate variants can also be used as bases for bakers to add their own ingredients.

Macphie also recommends the addition of 5th Avenue Icings.
