French frozen food manufacturer Traiteur de Paris has announced it will be "following the fashion" by launching a range of cupcakes.

The company, which also supplies canapés, sweet petits fours, side dishes and frozen desserts, is to launch a four-strong range: lemon and green tea; raspberry and cardamom; chocolate and hazelnut; and blueberry and violet, which will be available for supply to the UK bakery market. "The exclusive little Traiteur de Paris box is printed on the theme of ’liberty’, a detail which is in vogue and which will brighten up shop windows," said the firm.

The frozen cupcakes require one hour to thaw, and can be stored for up to one year at -18°C. There are 16 units per box.
