A B Tech Expo, the next bakery exhibition this calendar year, will take place at Fieramilano in Milan, Italy from October 23-27.
The organisers say there will be a heavy bias towards machinery, with Rondo, Rademaker, Tagliavini, Fortuna, Sigma, Piet-roberto, VMI, Bertuetti, Sottoriva, Turri and Werner & Pfleiderer among those taking part.
A pastry central workshop promises world-class pastry experts, using "trail-blazing technology to help create the trendiest new delicacies of the moment".
A bakery central workshop, in conjunction with the Italian Bakers’ Association will show best-selling regional breads and suggest new ideas to refit production facilities and try out the yield of machinery, ovens and ingredients. The show will also include a competition, The Best Baker’s Shop. Judging criteria will include best workshop, best commercial offer and best sales area. The winner will be named at the show on 24 October.
