Italian espresso machine manufacturer Rancilio has announced a successor to its best-selling Classe 6 machine the Classe 7. Distributed in the UK by The Coffee Machine Company, the machine is available in automatic or semi-automatic models, and has a range of new features. It has ’soft touch’ buttons, and two steam wands operated by Rancilio’s innovative ’C’ levers, which require only a quarter turn, so are easier to use, said the firm. It is available with two or three group heads and there is also a Compact 2-group unit if counter space is an issue.

The Classe 7 Tall version is designed for takeaway service and has the ability to take 20oz cups. Optionally all the models can be fitted with Rancilio’s latest auto frother youSteam which automatically froths milk using either latte or cappuccino modes. The list price for the Classe 7 starts with the Compact 2-group semi-automatic at £2,325. YouSteam is an add-on at £300.
