Fortnum & Mason is launching a new range of bespoke wedding and celebration cakes on 20 February.

The London Piccadilly upmarket department store has developed six cakes inspired by the company’s foundations in the 1700s with its own unique design, which include Georgian Lace, Blossom, Cameo, Ruffle, Tea Rose and Georgian Porcelain.

Customers can customise their cake accordingly to its design and colour, with a range of flavours on offer using Fortnum & Mason’s high-end ingredients, such as Classic Vanilla, Classic Tercentenary Chocolate and Pretty Marble – a chocolate and vanilla sponge with chocolate ganache and vanilla buttercream.

Other varieties include lemon, Sandringham coffee and walnut, carrot and pecan with lemon buttercream, banana with passion fruit buttercream, orange and fruitcake.

The new range of wedding and celebration cakes can be ordered from the bakery counter in-store, are made fresh to order and include matching wedding favour cookies. Celebration cakes are available in two sizes and start at £95 for 20 portions. Prices for wedding cakes are from £500 and come in a variety of sizes.
