Ginsters of Cornwall has teamed up with fellow Cornish brand Tribute Ale to create a steak & ale filled pasty.
The Steak & Ale Pasty combines 100% Red Tractor Assured British steak marinated with Tribute pale ale, potato and leek in a light puff pastry.
Ginsters said the pasty offered consumers “a Cornish twist on a highly popular recipe, which is currently missing from supermarket aisles”. It added the NPD was aimed at shoppers who were looking to expand their Ginsters repertoire.
It will be available at Tesco stores nationwide from 11 November, with an rsp of £1.70.
“We’re thrilled to be partnering with Tribute Ale, whom we know share our values around Cornish heritage, pride and quality, to bring a popular pasty recipe back to consumers,” said Kieran Hemsworth, managing director of Ginsters.
“The Ginsters Steak and Ale Pasty is a Cornish take on the classic steak & ale flavour combination and will appeal to consumers looking for a balanced, satisfying meal-in-one.”
