Golden Valley Pallet Wrap (GVPS) has invested in a new warehouse and national distribution centre to cope with a growing demand for its products.

The Gloucestershire-based business has opened the new site next to the company’s exsiting premises in Stonehouse, which GVPS has said can hold more than £1.2m-worth of hand and machine pallet wrap products.

Suzanne Griffiths, managing director of Golden Valley, said: “We receive deliveries of pallet wrap film from suppliers all over the world and, as part of our service commitment to our clients, we aim to fulfill orders within 24 hours. This means we need to hold extensive stocks.

“We rely on an efficient supply chain model and last year we were able to increase storage capacity at our existing store by adopting very narrow aisle storage technology, but quite simply, demand has increased by such a level that we need more storage space.”

GVPS was recently awarded the British Retail Consortium (BRC) Certification for its range of packaging film and machinery, demonstrating the highest standards of safety and quality of its products.
