Frozen pizza brand Goodfella’s is set to launch a takeaway cheeseburger pizza.
Its Takeaway Classic Crust Cheeseburger Pizza comprises a stone-baked pizza base, topped with tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, minced beef, tomatoes, onions and a burger sauce drizzle.
“Takeaway pizza is all about enjoying a big night in with the family. We want to make our pizzas simulate, as closely as possible, the experience shoppers would get from delivery or restaurant-style pizza – and that means bringing exciting new flavours seen elsewhere in the market into frozen,” said Claire Hoyle, head of marketing at Goodfella’s.
“We believe this is a natural extension of the Goodfella’s Takeaway line and offers consumers significantly more value than ordering out.”
Designed to share, the pizza is suitable for families with kids, said Hoyle. It has been created for ‘big nights in’ on the weekend.
The pizza will be available in Asda stores for £3.50 from 30 March.
