A sixth branch of the award-winning Hambleton Bakery will open next week in Oundle.

The new venture by Tim Hart and former ITV’s Britain’s Best Bakery competition winner Julian Carter, will open its doors at Oundle Wharf on Monday 21 March.

The first Hambleton Bakery opened in September 2008, when Hart and Carter sought to produce top-quality traditionally-made bread for Michelin-starred Hambleton Hall hotel and restaurant in Rutland, and Hart’s hotel and restaurant in Nottingham.

In addition to wholesale customers , the bakery now has retail outlets in Exton, Market Harborough, Oakham, Stamford, West Bridgford and Oundle. The Market Harborough and West Bridgford branches opened in 2014.

Carter said: “Our new site offers maximum convenience to our Oundle customers to drop in regularly. It has a large car park and is close to Waitrose.”
