Pie manufacturer Holland’s, part of the 2 Sisters Food group, has developed its product range with a new variety of frozen pies and puddings.
The company has launched new four-pack chicken and vegetable pies and four-pack minced beef and onion puddings. The products are frozen within hours of being made and both the pies and puddings can be microwaved in five minutes from frozen.
Bill Smith-Coats, sales and marketing director for Holland’s, said: “Chicken is one of the fastest-selling flavour profiles within the frozen individual pie market [Kantar Worldpanel] and Holland’s had a gap in its pie range. Research suggests that, for loyal Holland’s shoppers, chicken is their number three choice when not purchasing Holland’s, demonstrating a clear opportunity for the brand.”
The company claims to enjoy a 75% share of the market in the north west [Kantar].
