Independent food ingredients manufacturer Macphie has appointed Richard Cox to its executive board.
Cox was formerly at Fox’s Biscuits, where he was head of international. Previous to that he was with Baxters Food Group, Whitbread and Douwe Egberts.
Cox said: “I’m delighted to be joining Macphie, which has a tremendous reputation in the food industry for quality products, innovation and first-class customer service. It’s an exciting time to be joining the company as we seek to build on a very positive set of financial results.”
He went on to talk about enhancing manufacturing performance and continuing to support investment in operational capabilities and product development.
“We will continue to build close links with our strategic partners and invest in all areas of our business to keep us at the forefront of new ingredient and processing technologies. I am looking forward to delivering the benefits of these initiatives to our growing international customer base.”
