Patisserie Valerie is to open a new site in Worthing later this year.

The unit, which will create 20 job opportunities, will be located in Worthing’s Montague Quarter and is the first Patisserie Valerie café to open in the area.

The Worthing café will serve Patisserie Valerie’s range of gateaux and patisseries and will also be offering its signature Afternoon Tea, including: a range of decadent finger sandwiches, miniature cakes and patisserie bites, as well as plain and fruit scones served with jam and clotted cream.

Customers will also be able to order and collect celebration cakes for all occasions, as well as wedding cakes.

The site launch is part of the company’s rapid expansion strategy to open 20 new cafés annually. The firm recently opened three new sites, in Southport, Dublin and Stevenage.

A spokesperson from Patisserie Valerie told British Baker: “We are pleased to have signed a deal to take space in the exciting new Montague Quarter development in Worthing, showing our commitment to the town and its residents.

“We are looking forward to joining the other new names currently under offer, who will collectively invest in the town centre and create a thriving restaurant quarter for Worthing.”

Patisserie Valerie currently operates over 145 stores across the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland.
