Auntie Anne’s, the world’s biggest soft pretzel retailer, opened its 32nd UK store last month, at London Luton Airport (LLA).

The Luton Airport store is the brand’s first airport location in the UK, and is its largest store in the country to date. The kiosk is located in the airside departure lounge at LLA and will be creating around 25 jobs locally.

Founded in 1988 in a Pennsylvanian farmers’ market – originally as a means of raising funds for opening a local counselling centre – there are 1,750 stores globally.

All of the products are freshly made “with simple, honest, wholesome ingredients”, according to the company. The dough is made from scratch on site and then hand-rolled and baked.

All the pretzels come with a freshness guarantee, meaning the pretzel will have been baked within the last 30 minutes or less. The store also sells hot drinks, fresh lemonade, milkshakes and gelato ice cream.
