Sonneveld, producer of bread improvers, mixes and release agents, has announced the resignation of its chief executive Cees Hack.

Hack will stay with the Dutch company up to and including 31 December, after which he will move to his new role as managing director at bakery ingredients firm AB Mauri for the Middle East/Africa region.

The company is currently looking for a replacement to take over the post.

During his employment at Sonneveld, Hack has seen the company merge with Orkla in 2010.

He said: “I am leaving the company with mixed feelings. I managed Sonneveld Group with ample passion and pleasure. However, for me and my family it is time for a new challenge outside Europe as the managing director of AB Mauri for the Middle East/Africa region, based in Dubai”

The company hopes to continue to expand under new leadership.
