Aldreds recalls luxury muffins

Aldreds the Bakers has recalled its own-brand luxury muffins because of the presence of mould in the custard filling. The bakery has issued a food alert through the Food Standards Agency. The muffins affected are all in the Luxury two-pack range, in the following flavours; banoffee, carrot, chocolate, lemon and chocolate and orange. The recall affects all best before date codes up to and including May 29. No other Aldreds the Bakers products are known to be affected. Point-of-sale notices will be displayed in all shops that sell the products, explaining the reason for the recall. Customers should be offered a refund or replacement when they return the affected muffins to shops.
