Fresh prepared food manufacturer Bakkavör has announced that it is aiming to recruit more than 300 new employees across its UK sites, due to an increased demand from its customers.

The manufacturer is looking to fill vacancies in its factory production and management roles in its Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Somerset and Wigan sites.

Bakkavör Desserts Newark will be aiming to recruit 100 new members of staff, while Bakkavör Freshcook is looking for 60 new employees and Bakkavör Pizza Holbeach has 150 vacancies available.

Pippa Greenslade, group HR director, said it was a really exciting time for Bakkavör as it continues to go from strength to strength.

“The diverse range of roles we have available provides people all around the country with a great opportunity to work in the fast-moving and exciting fresh prepared foods industry,” she said.

“We have a wide variety of roles on offer and we look forward to welcoming new people to our team.”

Bakkavör currently employs over 18,000 people globally, producing more than 5,000 products in 18 different categories, and has a desserts range that is stocked in major UK supermarkets, including Tesco, Marks & Spencer and Waitrose.

This month, Bakkavör’s focus on innovation helped the manufacturer’s revenue grow in its third-quarter results.
