The golden ticket cupcake competition at Hilton London Bankside gives guests the chance to win prizes including spa breaks and hotel stays.

Launching on 7 October, Hilton London Bankside is celebrating one year since its opening by staging a golden ticket cupcake competition. There are prizes for both guests and locals to win, and every entry means a donation to a local community cause.

The golden ticket competition will come in the form of 365 cupcakes on display in the lobby area of the hotel (one to mark each day of opening).

Made by executive chef Paul Bates, according to the hotel, the cupcakes will be encased in individual boxes with 36 golden tickets hidden beneath a random selection of cakes, giving participants a 10% chance of winning.

Each cupcake will be priced at a minimum donation of £3 with all proceeds donated to local charity Evelina Children’s Hospital.

Prizes include a year’s worth of spa treatments at the hotel, a weekend in the penthouse suite, a cocktail masterclass for six at The Distillery and an Alex Monroe necklace, alongside bottomless brunch at OXBO. Those not staying at the hotel are welcome to walk in and buy a cupcake for the chance to win one of the prizes.
