Makers of Michelin-standard desserts, Pots & Co, is expanding across Europe with a number of international listings.
The Netherlands’ largest supermarket chain, Albert Heijn, has tripled its distribution of the company’s Salted Caramel & Chocolate, Lemon Posset and Roasted Hazelnut flavours – after a five- week trial and these will be sold in 900 stores across the country in 85g portion sizes.
In France, four Pots and four Little Pots lines will launch in Carrefour, one of the world’s largest hypermarket chains, this month. Chocolate Fudge and Salted Caramel & Chocolate will be available in 1,570 stores, and Sticky Toffee and Lemon Posset will be distributed in a total of 825 stores. Alongside this, Little Pots in Mango & Lime, Passion Fruit, Malted Milk Chocolate and 70% Chocolate will be distributed in 730 convenience stores across the country.
Julian Dyer, founder and CEO of the London-based company, said: “It is fantastic to experience this level of expansion across Europe, as there’s a clear international appetite for excellent-quality puddings. In 2013 we turned over £150,000, in 2014 this had risen almost ten-fold to £1.4m, in 2015 £3.2m. We now expect annualised turnover to hit £10m by the end of 2016.
“We have ambitions to continue growth in the global market and have extended our factory size and production line accordingly, to ensure all our Pots are made to the same Michelin-standard. Despite our rapid expansion, every single Pots & Co product is handmade to guarantee quality.”
Pots & Co has listings throughout the UK in stores including Waitrose, Tesco, Budgens, Harrods and Selfridges.
